
SMS Terms and Conditions
- Introduction
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of the SMS service provided by First Priority Credit Union (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By enrolling in and using the SMS service, you agree to comply with these Terms.
- Types of SMS Communications
First Priority Credit Union offers SMS notifications to members for various purposes, including:
- Account balance alerts
- Transaction updates
- Loan processing updates
- Response to inquiries
- Security alerts (fraud or suspicious activity)
You will receive messages directly to your mobile phone number provided to us.
- Eligibility
To use this service, you must be a member of First Priority Credit Union and provide a valid mobile phone number capable of receiving text messages.
- Enrollment (Opt-in)
To enroll in the SMS service, you need to opt-in by completing our online Consent to Receive SMS Messages Form or provide your signature in person at the credit union. By enrolling, you consent to receiving SMS messages from us.
- Message Frequency
The frequency of messages may vary depending on your activity or selected services. You may receive alerts on your account balances, transactions, requested information and important updates.
- Message Fees
First Priority Credit Union does not charge for SMS notifications. However, standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier. You are responsible for any fees charged by your carrier.
- Opt-Out
You may opt-out of the SMS service at any time by replying “STOP” to any SMS message you receive from us, or by contacting us by mail, e-mail or phone. After opting out, you will no longer receive SMS notifications from First Priority Credit Union.
- Assistance
For assistance, text HELP or contact us using the contact information below.
- Data Privacy
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Your mobile phone number and other personal information will be used solely for the purpose of sending SMS notifications related to your account. We will not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.
- Service Availability
We strive to provide a reliable service; however, we cannot guarantee the availability or timely delivery of SMS messages due to factors beyond our control (e.g., network issues, carrier delays).
- Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your mobile phone and account information. If you believe your mobile phone number has been compromised or if you notice any suspicious activity on your account, immediately contact us.
- Limitation of Liability
First Priority Credit Union is not liable for any damages resulting from the use or inability to use the SMS service, including but not limited to, delays, errors, or issues caused by your mobile service provider.
- Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated to you via SMS or posted on our website. By continuing to use the service, you accept the updated Terms.
